A web portal's rank has high impact on the displayed results by search engines and consequently their traffic. Nowadays, a lot of web portal managers make a consistent effort to employ Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques as a vital means to enhance their web portal's structure in one hand and to obtain a better ranking results in the other. The main reason that led the researcher to encounter this study was the fact that a great number of web pages are highly ranked by search engines that take the roots from either Spam websites or low Data Quality (DQ) web portals. This shows that SEO techniques are yet far from being efficient in spotting the right data. Therefore it is inevitable that these techniques will be revised in the near future. A very important criterion that will most probably be involved in SEO techniques is a focus on the web portals' DQ. Therefore, the ultimate goal of this research is to develop a model for better assessment of the DQ of the web portals through the lens of users' perspective.
Internet marketing, also referred to as i-marketing, web marketing, online marketing, or eMarketing, is the marketing of products or services over the Internet. The Internet has brought media to a global audience. The interactive nature of Internet marketing in terms of providing instant response and eliciting responses, is a unique quality of the medium. Internet marketing is sometimes considered to have a broader scope because it not only refers to the Internet, e-mail, and wireless media, but it includes management of digital customer data and electronic customer relationship management (ECRM) systems. Internet marketing ties together creative and technical aspects of the Internet, including: design, development, advertising, and sales. Internet marketing also refers to the placement of media along different stages of the customer engagement cycle through search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), banner ads on specific websites, e-mail marketing, and Web 2.0 strategies. In 2008 The New York Times, working with comScore, published an initial estimate to quantify the user data collected by large Internet-based companies.
By retrieving entries from the financial-data vendor Wind and collecting relevant data from private placement statements, the author builds a proprietary database and studies five aspects of private placement in China. He examines which listed firms are more likely to choose private placement over SEO in refinancing, he looks into the controlling shareholder's decision on whether or not to purchase privately placed shares, he investigates how the offer discount is determined, he calculates announcement periods for abnormal returns on private placements. Where the abnormal return is significantly positive, he documents positive long-run abnormal return on private offerings and evidence supporting the under-reaction hypothesis. Finally, he concludes that the largest shareholders tunnel by means of excess discounts from which they benefit but which is harmful to other shareholders.

This book is designed to help companies view Internet marketing strategically, bring together marketing, sales and operations functions that were previously separate and siloed, and systematically capture and apply data to drive dramatic improvements in performance. Drawing on their extensive experience with enterprise clients, Catherine Juon and Dunrie Greiling show how to implement a more iterative, measurable, and repeatable approach to Internet marketing, gain better information about which online strategies are working best, deliver better-qualified leads to sales, build an online sales engine to track every customer relationship from the very outset - and, above all, grow profits. Rather than covering individual Internet marketing tools in isolation, they show how to integrate the full strategic toolkit: social media, pay-per-click, Google AdWords, SEO, site usability, Google Analytics, audience analysis, CRM, lead generation, site navigation optimization, and more. Readers learn how to use metrics and data analysis far more effectively to inform adjustments in both long-term strategy and short-term tactics. Along the way, the authors offer new solutions to challenges discussed in no other book - including the challenges of marketing, advertising, and pricing when Google flattens all channels and geographies into a single gigantic marketplace
Philip Radner analyzes equity financing phenomena and researches IPO underpricing and SEO announcement effects using data sets for US REITs. Moreover, he discusses underpricing theories and their applicability in the REIT context and gives a theoretical background on IPOs and on underpricing in particular. With this background at hand, the results out of this dissertation imply to focus on the wording in IPO documents as it can help to maximize IPO proceeds. In addition, he analyzes how to better time and announce subsequent equity financing events. It is expected that significantly underpriced issues attract more investors and that subsequent SEOs are then easier to conduct and typically raise more capital.
